    Center of Innovation for Technology and Entertainment (CITE)

    Funded by a $2-million New York State grant, the Center for Innovation Technology and Entertainment (CITE) represents the second major initiative of the i2e Campus Transformation. Construction began for CITE, located on the first floor of the Dibner Builidng, in late- October 2010 and will be completed by the end of February 2011.

    The centerpiece of CITE will be the Game Innovation Lab, a dynamic space for research and learning that leverages games as an innovation challenge. The Lab's core research and teaching activities will be grounded in computer science, engineering, and user experience, with the participation of researchers and educators from other allied disciplines. The Lab also will host a lecture/seminar series, and conduct outreach to local and international game industry partners and game-related technology innovation groups, toward providing students with mentors, internships and other opportunities.
